You order at the front when you first walk in, so there is a little pressure to order if someone is behind you. The location is great, easy to get to and plenty of parking. The setting is nothing like any Chinese restaurant I've ever been to (other than uber high end places. It's like a cool little bistro with a great atmosphere. The service is fast and every staff member is efficient, courteous, warn and welcoming. I've saved ... the best for last...the food. Over the years I've been to many Chinese/Asian restaurants. From holes in the wall to very high end, where the food definitely doesn't justify the cost. This is not one of those places. Fan Tang is by far the best Chinese food I've eaten in my life! In addition to the standard Szechuan items, they also offer at least one Cantonese dish that happens to be my favorite: walnut shrimp. It's amazing here, as are the crab wontons. Light, crispy and not greasy at all. And the orange ginger dipping sauce is good enough to drink with a straw. I literally can't recommend Fan Tang enough. Ordered takeout. Walked in, and the first person that laid eyes on me immediately stopped what he was doing to take my order. Upsold me some Nigiri while I waited for my food. Which I did not, because the order was ready, and hot comically fast. Having literally only taken the first shot of my sake, I had to try the ... food while I nursed the bottle.
